Brandy Talks Drop Dead Diva, New Album & More w/Patricia Sheridan
In a call in breakfast interview with writer Patricia Sheridan, Brandy speaks on her reoccurring role on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva, her new album and much much more.
She also shares how growing up in the industry helped her with motherhood and also answers, whether it was the lack of balance that unfortunately ended her late Idol, Whitney Houston's life.
Be sure to check out Brandy's first appearance in this season's Drop Dead Diva this Sunday 9pm!
On whether it's more challenging to do a reoccurring role like you are doing on 'Drop Dead Diva' than when you are a regular in a series:
I think it's a little bit more challenging because when you are a series regular you get into a rhythm, a groove and the character just becomes second nature to you. But when you take breaks and you are in and out it is a little bit more challenging for me, definitely.
On the new Album:
I do. "Two Eleven" is coming out in August. I'm really excited about that. It's just great to be back in music and do what I love to do consistently and full time. This project means so much to me. I've worked very hard on it. I feel like I have found that right place and the right people are in my life to help me fulfil this dream that I've had for a while.
On whether the lack of balance was the reason Whitney Houston's life ended:
Um, I think it was a number of things. I can just say that her life will never be forgotten and her life has inspired so many people, so many artists, and it's awakened so many things inside of so many people.
